Eversource has an easy submittal process for independent contractors looking to work on commercial and industrial energy efficiency projects: the Customer Directed Option (CDO). Willdan, Eversource’s third-party CDO partner, is here to help with your project submittals at no cost.

Get started in a few easy steps:

Contractor Action:

Contact Willdan to learn about the program and how they can guide you through the submission process.

Contractor Action:

Engage an Eversource customer to develop an energy efficiency project.

Contractor Action:

Conduct site visit for all measures/ opportunities to pursue. Comprehensive is always best, so it may make sense to explore partnership opportunities.

Willdan Action:

Willdan will work with Eversource to review the project and present the customer incentive offer.

Contractor Action:

Installation begins once contractor obtains customer approval on incentive amount and terms. Contractor returns customer agreement to Eversource to begin installation, then submits closeout documents to Willdan upon completion.

Willdan Action:

Funds for incentives are released by Willdan, typically within four weeks of submission of all documents.
